Incorrect Phone Number Released for Census Employment

Harrisburg – State Sen. Mary Jo White (R-21) is alerting constituents to an incorrect telephone number regarding the 2000 Census that was included in a recent newsletter.

The correct number for anyone interested in working as a census-taker is 1-888-325-7733.

An incorrect number was listed in the senator’s winter newsletter to constituents.

White said that an accurate census is vital for many reasons, among them to ensure that Pennsylvania receives its fair share of federal funding, including money for highways, education, water and sewer projects, job training, and a host of other projects.
