Senator White To Chair Committee Hearing on Mine Safety

Harrisburg – State Senator Mary Jo White today announced that the Senate Environmental Resources and Energy Committee will conduct a public hearing on mine safety.  The hearing will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2006 beginning at 9:00 AM in Room 8 E-A East Wing in the Capitol.

Scheduled to testify at the hearing are Secretary of Environmental Protection Kathleen A. McGinty, former Secretary of Environmental Protection Dave Hess, as well as representatives of the United Mine Workers of America and the Pennsylvania Coal Association.
