Senator White To Chair Committee Hearing on
Gasoline Additives
Harrisburg – State Senator Mary Jo
White today announced that the Senate Environmental
Resources and Energy Committee will conduct a public hearing
on the impact gasoline additives have on fuel supplies and
the environment. The hearing will be held on Wednesday,
April 5, 2006 beginning at 9:00 AM in Room 8 E-A East Wing
in the Capitol.
The committee will hear testimony on
proposals to ban the use of methyl tertiary-butyl ether
(MTBE), the availability of ethanol, and the impact
additives have on fuel supplies and the environment.
Scheduled to testify at the hearing are
representatives of the Department of Environmental
Protection and Department of Agriculture, the Associated
Petroleum Industries of PA, Lyondell Chemical Company and
the Campaign for Clean Air and Clean Water.

available.
