Public Hearing on Reducing Mercury Emissions
RESCHEDULED
Harrisburg – The Senate Environmental
Resources and Energy Committee, chaired by Sen. Mary Jo
White (R-21), has rescheduled the planned May 24 public
hearing on drafting mercury reduction legislation.
The new date for the hearing will be
Tuesday, June 6, beginning at 9:15 a.m. in Room 8 E-A of the
Capitol East Wing.
The purpose of the hearing will be to
recall state Department of Environmental Protection
Secretary Kathleen McGinty for further questioning. In
addition, two public health experts will provide testimony.
