Senate Environmental Resources and Energy Committee to
Consider Six Bills
Harrisburg – The Senate Environmental Resources and Energy Committee, chaired
by Sen. Mary Jo White (R-21), will hold a public meeting Tuesday to consider six
bills.
The committee will meet Tuesday, March 9, at 9:30 a.m. in Room 8 E-B
of the Capitol’s East Wing.
The purpose of the meeting will be to consider the following bills:
SB 1092 (Kasunic) Requires oil and gas well operators to provide a cement
quality log to the Department of Environmental Protection.
SB 1159 (White, D.) Authorizes the Department of General Services to enter
into mineral leases for state-owned land.
SB 1176 (White, D.) Requires mine permit fee adjustments be done through
regulation.
SB 1196 (White, D.) Requires mine permit fee adjustments be done through
regulation.
SB 1197 (White, D.) Requires mine permit fee adjustments be done through
regulation.
SB 1250 (Pileggi) Requires 25 percent of fines or civil penalties assessed
under the Air Pollution Control Act be distributed to the impacted
municipality.
